About This Course:
Historically, stone veneers and pavers installations fail due to inadequate surface preparation, selection of unsuitable setting materials, malpractices during installations, and negligence of managing negative water intrusion and top side. This program will better inform the design professionals on the proper and safe stone veneers and pavers installation methods. As well, the product selection will be examined, along with identification of opportunities for LEED credits. In addition, typical issues with improper installations and their potential hazards will be discussed.
Learning Objective 1
Attendees will learn about the proper and safe installation techniques pertaining to stone veneers and pavers constructions.
Learning Objective 2
Attendees will learn about the opportunities to earn LEED credit points, in part by using pavers and design pavements for pedestrian safety. Material selections will be discussed.
Learning Objective 3
Attendees will be introduced the various types of stone veneers and pavers and learn how critical the material selection is to ensure a safe and durable construction, as well as prolonged life cycle of the building envelope.
Learning Objective 4
Attendees will learn about the typical issues with improper installation of stone veneers and pavers, and the potential hazards due to the malpractices during installations.
