Cost estimates represent a key element of the foundation for successful construction projects. A properly developed estimate leads to smooth sailing throughout the project’s life-cycle for all stakeholders —from architects and engineers to project administrators and owners. In a world rife with harmful cost overruns this skill is essential for projects of all types and magnitudes.
This webinar offers an introduction to the best practices of cost estimating and examines the classification of estimates and respective project design stages, as well as direct and indirect costs. Participants will understand the significance of trustworthy data when creating an estimate, as well as where and how to access such data types of key data necessary for the development of an accurate estimate. The elements of the general requirements and critical cost factors will also be discussed.
